Myrian participated at Walnut/Diamond Bar Station’s 20th Anniversary Open House.

Exhibits included various specialized units of LASD as well as community partners/businesses.

Stephanie and Myrian accepted an award from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank at its annual Cesar Chavez Food Drive Awards Luncheon.

The department was recognized for its collection of total food pounds during the 2008 Cesar Chavez Food Drive.

October 21, 2007

Myrian, with her daughter, represented the department at the 2007 AIDS Walk Los Angeles.

Due to outstanding fundraising efforts, the department was recognized as a Gold Team for the 2008 event!

October 7, 2007

John, Rose and Myrian participated in Discover Marina del Rey, hosted by the Department of Beaches and Harbors.

The event was held at Burton Chace Park and included exhibits and various information booths focusing on health, safety and the environment.

October 7, 2007

John appeared on 106.7 KROQ-FM “Open Line” for a live, in-studio interview with host Scott Mason.

He provided information on the department’s mission, as well as fielding questions from listeners who called in.

September 2007

John attended the NACOLE 13th Annual Conference.

He is joined by Andrew Bayron, Maui Police Commissioner; and Eduardo Diaz, Executive Director, Miami-Dade Independent Review Panel and newly elected NACOLE Board President.

John, Myrian, with their families and friends, attended the “County Fall Fling at Dodger Stadium” Dodgers vs. Arizona game.

This event was part of the County of Los Angeles 2007 Charitable Giving Campaign.

Myrian, pictured with County and Pasadena PD volunteers, participated in the LA County Run for Health – 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk and Wellness Expo.

The event raised funds for education scholarships for young women.
