Mobile home Ombudsman - Department of Housing and Community Development - State of California
(800) 952-5275: Assists the public with health and safety problems in a mobile home park and handles complaints associated with the sale or registration of a mobile home. Investigates complaints involving the sale, registration, titling, or escrowing of a mobile home purchase; investigates mobile home park problems involving electrical, roads, structures, and water; handles complaints involving mobile home installations; mobile home dealer or salesperson misconduct, such as fraud, misrepresentation, or non-registration of title, and assist with warranty compliance complaints. Complaints Outside Jurisdiction: Rental agreements, payment of utilities, evictions, park rules and regulations.

WISE Senior Services and Long-Term Care Ombudsman - a Los Angeles City, County, and State-sponsored agency
(800) 334-9473 or (310) 899-1483: Investigates complaints involving nursing homes for the elderly, long-term care facilities, and acts as an objective third party in solving problems involving durable power of attorney for health care decisions, medication, legal or financial concerns, suspected elder and dependent adult abuse.

The Group Home Ombudsman serves as an advocate and problem solver for children placed in group homes. The Ombudsman is independent from the agencies that place children in those facilities. Children are encouraged to call or email the Ombudsman who will conduct an investigation of the issues they raise if needed and provide assistance in resolution of problems. Conversations between the Ombudsman and children are confidential.

The Office of the Foster Care Ombudsman was established by legislation, California Senate Bill 933, and has been mandated to do the following:
- Ensure the voice of foster children and youth is heard, and act on their behalf.
- Create an avenue for foster children and youth to file complaints regarding their placement, care and services without fear of retribution from those who provide their care and services.
- Act as an independent forum for the investigation and resolution of complaints made by or on behalf of children placed in foster care and make appropriate referrals.
- Provide children and youth with information on their rights when placed in foster care.
- Maintain a toll-free telephone number which foster children and youth may call from anywhere in California to express their concerns and complaints.
